As society has weaned for years, shaving your legs is a must. The reason why is a discussion for another day. We can all agree, everyone loves that fresh clean feeling after achieving a perfect shave on our legs. Understanding the importance of this, we wanted to focus on how to properly shave your legs.

Whether you’re just not fully satisfied with your current results when shaving your legs, or you are brand new to the aforementioned societal view on how your legs should be clean shaven – we created a quick 5 step guide to perfectly shave your legs and avoid those pesky shaving cuts.

  1. Sharp & Clean Razor Blade:
It’s very important to make sure that your razor blades are sharp & clean. Avoid using dulled out blade edges and anything with old residue on edge. This will help with avoiding shaving nicks and cuts caused the razor dullness or grime left behind and help the razor glide over your legs.
  2. Shave in the Shower:
It’s important that you do not attempt to shave with dry legs. This will lead to shaving cuts and burns. Shower for few minutes so that the heat from the hot water can help with making your skin softer for a comfortable shave.
  3. Apply Shaving Cream:
There are many options to choose from when it comes to shaving cream. Find the right shaving cream that works for your skin and apply a thin and even layer over your legs. Tip: let the shaving cream sit for 2-3min in the steam, it will help getting a cleaner shave without nicks and cuts.
  4. Shaving Time:
You are now ready to start shaving your legs. We suggest you shaving with the grain first, to avoid ingrown hairs. Follow up with then gently shaving against the grain for even closer shave. Don’t rush, take your time. Rinse your razor after two or three swipes, so you can remove the hair from the razor and keep the razor clean while shaving your legs. Repeat the process, until you are done shaving your legs.
  5. Moisturize:
Before you start the moisturizing process, it’s important to pat your legs dry with a towel. If you notice any nicks and cuts, you want to make sure you properly take care of them. The last thing you want is to have any stains transfer to your clothes or be stuck walking out with a bandaid on your legs.

Glyder’s Styptic Balm For Her is a the most effective method to deal with the nicks & cuts. It will stop the bleeding and will actually help to nourish your skin with its natural oils. After applying the styptic balm, apply lotion or oil to moisturize your legs to achieve perfectly shaven, silky smooth legs.
